VINTAGE OF 2025 AT HERDADE DA MINGORRA
The 2025 wine year began with a rainy and mild winter. Rainfall in spring was high, which ensured good soil water reserves and, consequently, good defences against heat and plenty of vegetative vigour in the vineyard, despite some expected pressure from diseases such as mildew.
The beginning of summer was extremely dry with an atypical heatwave in June, before the veraison stage.
The whites and rosés harvested in early August resulted in balanced and aromatic wines. During the ripening phase of the reds, a second heatwave associated with strong, hot winds slowed down the ripening process. However, a change in temperature, with high thermal amplitudes and surprising night-time humidity, allowed the vineyard to evolve well – resulting in mature, deep reds.
